All volunteers are expected to follow New York State Department of Health Coronavirus Guidance and Regulations related to COVID-19.The spread of the respiratory illness, COVID-19, that is caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to be spread primarily from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing. By participating in the Summer Sweep with Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper you acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk of exposure or infection that may accompany the activities you intend to perform.
Below are measures to follow that will encourage the safety of our staff and volunteers.
Before you go
Supplies will not be provided to volunteers who do not follow the safety guidelines.
