Safety is our #1 priority with this and any event we host. All volunteers are expected to review and follow the New York State Department of Health Coronavirus Guidance and Regulations related to COVID-19 and the Center for Disease Control Guidelines.
Below are measures to follow that will encourage the safety of our staff, volunteers, and attendees during all in-person events for 2022.
Before you go:
• If you or anyone in your household tested positive for COVID-19 or you have been exposed or in contact with someone who has tested positive within 5 days of the event, do not attend any Waterkeeper function or tour.
During the event:
• All volunteers and tour participants are expected to follow New York State Department of Health Coronavirus Guidance and Regulations related to COVID-19.
• Hand sanitizer will be provided. Remember to wash your hands thoroughly as soon as possible after the event.
By participating in any event with Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper you acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk of exposure or infection that may accompany the activities you intend to perform. I release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from injury, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense of any kind related to COVID-19 that I may experience or incur in connection with my participation in volunteer or tour events/activities. I attest that I will not attend any in-person event hosted by Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper unless I meet the safety measures listed above.
